Archives and Wildlife Resource Management System in Punjab

The scheme titled “Archives and Wildlife Resource Management System in Punjab (On-Going Scheme)” is designed to modernize and transform the management of wildlife resources and operational processes within the Punjab Wildlife & Parks Department. The primary objective of the project is to establish an integrated and standardized digital platform across all wings of the department to automate workflows and reduce reliance on manual, paper-based systems. By streamlining internal operations, the system aims to improve efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness, particularly in the delivery of public services such as the issuance of licenses, permits, and extension services.

The final outcomes of the scheme include the development of interactive maps and visualizations of wildlife protected areas, introduction of e-licensing for hunting and possession, and automation of the wildlife dealer licensing regime. The system will enable tagging of captive wildlife animals, registration of wildlife breeding farms and game reserves, and regulation of international wildlife trade. Additional outcomes include implementation of e-FOAS and HRMS modules, deployment of CBC and asset management applications, and the introduction of structured internship programs to support wildlife conservation and protection initiatives.
