The scheme titled “Revamping of Lahore Zoo (On-Going Scheme)” has been initiated with the objective of upgrading Lahore Zoo in accordance with the latest international standards. The project aims to enhance the overall quality of animal exhibits while simultaneously improving facilities for visitors. Key objectives include the addition of modern infrastructure, improved living conditions for animals and birds, and the development of visitor-oriented amenities to ensure a safe, educational, and enjoyable public experience.
The final outcomes of the scheme are focused on long-term institutional and public benefits. These include the extension of parking facilities, redesigning and modernization of the zoo’s main gate and entrance, and the addition of upgraded facilities for animals, birds, and visitors. The project will also result in improved lawns and public sitting areas, an increase in the number and quality of zoo exhibits, and enhancement of food court and canteen facilities, thereby elevating the zoo’s recreational, educational, and conservation role to international benchmarks.
